David Cohen
David recently worked as Music Supervisor for Marvel Pictures. He also is an owner in CitySip.com which is a travel, leisure, and spirits publication, as well as an owner and managing partner in UtopianWellness.com, a health and wellness resource company. David also currently serves as CO-CEO and owner of Woodland Hotel and Resort Group. From 2011 to April 2012, David served a CEO and President of Voyager Health Technologies. VHT was a direct sales MLM health and wellness company that had over 4,000 independent associates. In 2010, David formed his new company Karma 8, which is devoted to his focus back into the entertainment and media business here in the United States as well Asia and Europe. In 2005, David shifted his business to China and started Access China 8, which he resided as Chairman and President of the company. Access China 8 was involved in several master planned real estate communities with the People’s Republic of China. Access China 8 focused on Casino projects in China and the Philippines as well. David was the exclusive world wide representative for Apollo Cruise Ship Company based in mainland China.
In 2004, David spearheaded a 14-acre casino site project to be named Paramount Vegas across from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas for a Mega Resort and Casino. David played a major role in the design and business development of the project. While juggling between the nightclub and real estate business, David decided to follow his passion in music and opened Club Utopia on Las Vegas Boulevard. Club Utopia was a 35,000 square foot two-story venue, which he owned and operated between 1996 and 2003. Club Utopia was named the number #1 nightclub in the world by Rolling Stone Magazine in 1998-2000. Club Utopia was also named top 5 clubs in the World from 1996-2003 by nightclub and bar magazine. Many attribute the success of the club to the explosion of the Las Vegas nightlife scene and David as the pioneer. David was the sole owner and operator of all of his venues and promotional companies. He has been named one of the top 10 most influential people in the evolution of house music by Mixer magazine. Club Utopia with David had many synergistic partners such as Interscope, Def Jam, Universal, William Morris, CAA, BET, and MTV. David recently received the “2012 Game Changer Award” by Record Systems and the City of Las Vegas.
