Trudy Green
Trudy Green was born in London, England. She got a Business Degree at Queens College in London. Trudy started her career in the Music Business right after college. Her first job was at Apple Records working for the Beatles. She then went to work for EMI Records in their A&R Department. Trudy left EMI to start her own Independent Press and Promotions Company, Crunch Promotions. Crunch was bought out by David Platz, Chairman of the Essex Music Group. Trudy became Head of Press and Promotion for Fly Records, an Independent Record Label owned by the Essex Music Group. Fly was one of the most successful record labels in the United Kingdom with an artist roster that included T Rex, Procol Harum, The Move, Joe Cocker, Joan Armatrading and John Kongos.
Trudy worked at Fly/Cube Records until she came to Los Angeles and was offered a job working for the publicity company, Gibson and Stromberg as a Publicity Director. Her first client was KIIS. She then went to work for manager Irving Azoff at Frontline Managemenet and from there joined Bob Ellis Management and was involved in managing Ronnie Wood, Chaka Khan / Rufus and Stephen Bishop.
Trudy then formed her own management company, Trudy Green Management. Her clients included Stephen Bishop, Al Stewart and Randy Meisner. Don Passman, lawyer and author of All You Want To Know About The Music Business introduced Trudy to manager, Howard Kaufman, HK Management. Trudy then became partner with Howard Kaufman and they remained parters for over 30 years.
Trudy managed the careers of over 30 Major Artists in the Music Industry including; Heart, Janet Jackson, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Joe Perry, The Hollywood Vampires, Perry Farrell, Jane’s Addiction, Whitesnake, Slash, Velvet Revolver, Brett Michael’s, Sam Kinison, En Vogue, The Fugees, Lauryn Hill, Grace Slick, Jefferson Airplane, YES, John Gray (Men are From Mars Women Are From Venus), John Waite, Bad English with John Waite, Neil Schon and Jonathan Cain, Osca De La Hoya, The Bee Gees, Wilson Phillips, Orianthi, Jay Shetty, Ryan Higa and Josh Golden.
